He began his career at Addis Ababa University, shaping young minds and laying the foundation for future business leaders. This thirst for knowledge led him to pursue an MBA from the prestigious Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, further amplifying his expertise.

Zekrie's passion for empowering businesses soon took center stage. He led Encore Employment, Training, and Consultancy Services Plc from 2006 to 2017, where he spearheaded numerous multi-disciplinary projects targeting both NGOs and the private sector. His keen eye for investment analysis, risk assessment, and business valuation proved invaluable to his clients.

Zekrie's impressive track record didn't go unnoticed. When Encore joined forces with HST in 2017, his expertise was welcomed with open arms. He took the role of directing the firm's Corporate Finance and Executive Development services. Eventually, he progressed in his role and he currently oversees the consulting and learning wing of HST as a managing director.

Here, Zekrie utilizes his diverse skillset to manage the strategy and organizational development, human capital, corporate finance and training engagements of HST. He is personally involved in financial due diligence and business valuation projects and leads visioning workshops during strategy development.

But Zekrie's impact extends beyond numbers.

As an experienced adult trainer, he also leads the design and delivery of executive development programs tailored to the specific needs of HST's corporate clients. Besides, he continues to personally deliver a training program on corporate governance to board directors and senior executives of companies.

Zekrie's commitment to excellence is evident in his extensive experience. He has led feasibility studies for diverse projects, from pre-engineered steel buildings to community-based health insurance initiatives. He has also been involved in the development of business cases and business plans for new products and services in various industries including pharmaceuticals and telecom services.
